ORBIT: The Background Space Game
Quick Start
To spawn a planet, press any number 1-9 on your keyboard and click anywhere on the screen.
Description
Orbit is a very chill idle/background game that you can run in your browser. It is based off space and solar systems. Your star in the center of the screen will slowly evolve from a proto-star to a main sequence star all the way up to a red giant and explode in a super nova! Throw planets around your star, and recycle your star to gain more mass.
Controls
Press 1-9 on the top of your keyboard to spawn a planet.
Click and hold with left click on your mouse to choose the starting location of the planet.
Drag with your mouse to decide it's momentum.
Release the left click to send it into orbit around your star.
Press Q to enable and disable the names of the planets.
Press W to enable and disable the UI.
Click and drag the slider on the right-hand side of the screen to zoom in and out.
Click and drag the slider to the left of the two tied music notes to change the volume of the music. You can also click the tied notes icon to mute the music.
Click and drag the slider to the left of the speaker to change the volume of the ambience. You can also click the speaker icon to mute the ambience.
Click and drag the slider to the left of star icon to change the brightness of the background stars. You can also click the star icon to make the background stars invisible.
Approximately 10 seconds after your star goes supernova at the end of it's life cycle, press spacebar to recycle your star and planets to gain more mass for it's next life.
